12 Days of Christmas Tabletops: 8 Maids a Milking

A modern minimalist farmhouse style was the perfect fit for our 8 Maids a Milking theme in our 12 Days of Christmas Tabletop series. We love that we were able to take so many traditionally rustic elements and create one of our most modern looks.

We chose a black and white color palette to mirror the characterized image of a maid’s attire, and paired with a farmhouse style it created a sleek modern look. We love the arrangement that Ashton Events created for this look. Combining creamy roses with dried babies breath and bundles of cotton created a unique look, and placing it in a black ceramic container and arranging a simple branch garland created a full look for a centerpiece that enhanced the minimalist style without leaving the table empty.

We chose to use our driftwood chargers, black stoneware plates, black flatware, and gray glassware to match this modern style, but still giving a subtle farmhouse feel with the natural textures. Black taper candles in our brass candlesticks helped add a hint of romance and drama as we completed the tablescape.
